Griffith Park:  http://www.laparks.org/ -- the largest urban park in America, with thousands of acres left in its wild and natural state,

Griffith Park Wildlife Management Plan:  griffithparkwildlife.org/, one of the most amazing and educational sites you will visit, with interactive maps and more about flora and fauna, human interaction, and restoration priorities after the 800-acre fire in May 2007.

Hollyhock House:   http://www.hollyhockhouse.net ; designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright and recently restored after years of weathering and deferred maintenance.  At the top of Olive Hill and the centerpiece of Barnsdall Art Park.  One block from Hollywood Lutheran Church.

Note:  If you are touring Los Angeles, you cannot drive to the Hollywood sign.  It is best viewed from a safe parking place on or near Beechwood Canyon above Franklin Avenue.  Please watch out for traffic before stepping into the street to take pictures!

CLEAN Carwash Campaign:  labor, justice and environment:  www.CleanCarwashLA.org

Greater Griffith Park Neighborhood Council:  http://www.ggpnc.org; an adjunct to the City government structure, this council of 19 elected and appointed citizens deals with a wide variety of neighbrhood and community issues.  Pastor Dan Hooper was recently appointed the Religious Community Liaison for a 2-year period.  Meets on the 3rd Tuesday evening of the month.
